Various suggestions

Still a great program!  Here's some thoughts: 

1. I would like to second the suggestion of using full path names in the explorer box but just the file names in tabs.
2. Having separate menu items for Preferences, switches, and hotkeys seems unnecessary.  How about putting them all together, in a tabbed preferences pop-up?  In fact, even if you kept the menu items, it would be a better layout (you know...tabs? ;) ).
3. Put the new tab button on the tab bar.  Also, just make it a simple "+" sign.  (It's confusing that it's a folder; it has nothing to do with folders, as I consider tabs an element of the interface and folders a storage thing).
4. Make it so you can drag a folder on to the new tab button or an empty tab space to load it in a new tab.
5. Make back and forward the leftmost buttons (like in web browsers, and Explorer).
6. Get rid of the Explorer bar icon -- it's just wasted space as the dropdown itself has icons.
7. Restore the context menu for the explorer box and other input fields (undo, cut, copy, paste, etc..).  Put the new items at the bottom of the list.
8. Change the icon for "filter".  That magnifier should always mean search.  How about an image of an asterix?  Or you could just have some gray text in the box that says "filter" when it's empty.
9. Customizable buttons that you can add and move around separately.  I like to have cut, copy and paste on Explorer, for example.  You could just map them to switches and hotkeys functions.
10. I'd like to have the arrange tab mode always on, but I leave it off because it makes the font italic.  Any chance of keeping the font the same?
