tabbyFile appears on Shell Extensions City's (www.shellcity.net)  "Daily Update" today.

Should help raise it's profile to new heights!

Turning 2nd pane on/off

Hi,

I second the request to make it easier to show/hide the second pane.  I think I'd prefer a toolbar button "[2x]", e.g. that toggles display of the second pane (button depressed = on, and vice versa).

Thanks Dizzle.. this will be in the next rev.

Good news !

Excuse my bad english, I was talking about the typical dialog where you configure an external app and the arguments ( current file, current folder... ) for it.
Anyway, I use a context menu editor for doing actions in my files so it's not a real need.

However, a file stack would be cool, a tab/window where you can drop files that you can copy/move/... later in a batch operation to another folder. In other words, an alternative way of selecting several files like the one existent in UltraExplorer or SpeedCommander.

But I suppose it's not an elemental thing to do, I can wait to v3.0 :)

I understand now the

I understand now the favorites toolbar, and it's actually useful, and the layout toolbar.
Plus the portable configuration files in XML, I have new favorite file manager.
The power of simplicity never ends to amaze me.

Hi ! I have discovered this

Hi !
I have discovered this from shellcity.net :-)
After 10 minutes using tabbyFile, I'm impressed :-) Very fast, ridiculous amount of memory used, intuitive and personalizable user interface, great !

Thanks so much to the author, and of course here are my desires for next versions :-) :
- An option to show/hide the second file panel with a key combination option. I'm used to associate it with strokeit(mousegestures) to hide the second panel when I want to see the first only.
- External tools option that receives as arguments the current file/directory and the possibility to make a toolbar with these options. Oh sorry, this sounds a bit complicated, it's only an idea.

I'm now trying to understand the use of favorites toolbar, looks very useful but I don't get it to work.

Thanks! Glad you like it;

Thanks! Glad you like it; there is already a list of things building for v2.1 :)

- hotkey for toggle 2nd explorer sounds good.
- the second request i'm foggy on - care to clear that up?
